Many of these shows that rotate around witchcraft and witches, are always with a female lead who is a powerful woman with mystical abilities. Many of the shows have to do heavily with witchcraft, and they are super popular throughout Hollywood and beyond. Charmed, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Originals, and many more are all shows that are heavily evolved around witches and witchcraft. Charmed is about a show of three of the most powerful witches in the world. Their duty is to save the innocents, battle demons, and stop evil, while maintaining their personal and love life. The show has eight seasons and honestly it breaks down the barriers of sexism, misogynism, and the stereotypes of women in general. Another popular witch TV show is American Horror Story: Coven. Coven pertains to a group of powerful women (witches) whose sole purpose is to become a supreme of the coven and lead the group to become greater than they once were. These shows are telling the stories of how women in society are more than just women, they’re beings with powers greater than others. They use these powers to better the world, and other worlds if they have them. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is also telling the story of a powerful young woman, a half-witch half-human who’s only 16 years-old. A heavy duty weighs on her shoulders, as she is more than human or witch. She is the dark lord’s sword, and her sole purpose is to bring about sole destruction. Her fight against old entities and her father, the dark lord him, is all too much for herself, and with the help of her aunts and her friends she defeats these beings and saves the universe. These shows are all popular and hit TV shows that have impacted any watchers, and have gained a large fanbase. The Originals isn’t necessarily a show specifically about witches, but it is heavily based around it. The New Orlean’s witches of the quarter have a strong hatred for vampires, and their sole purpose is to eradicate them. The show is very good, and it is very good at telling witch’s stories and how powerful they can be, and how when they are crossed it could impact the history of super naturals forever. I think all these shows are a huge example of how witches in Hollywood are very popular and always become a show that involves lead women.
