October 13, 2022
The Chaparral Cowboy JV Football team is well on the way to becoming a better team. Coach Jermaine Allen said of his team that they are, “A young and learning team, lots of freshmen on the JV which they don’t usually ever have.”
We asked what players stand out to him the most and he said, “All the players have potential to be better than what they are.”
Allen said that his current eleven starters this season, “Are the ones that go to practice everyday. They practice hard and they are good players, and they don’t back down.”
He added, I always tells the players is to respect the game.Even with the ups and downs of the season so far that his favorite thing about the team is their hearts, they don’t quit, and they are not scared of anything.
He says he wants to help and have them be better people in the future. He also adds one thing he always tell his players, is that “School is always put before football”.
The Chaparral Cowboys take on Cimarron-Memorial next on October 20th.
