One of the best parts of being a freshman in high school is participating in sports. Middle schools really only have one or two sports for students to participate in, so the opportunity to play up on varsity team in high school is a really a great experience for freshmen athletes.
Two of this year’s freshmen, Ineisha Mills (#24, forward) and Vindoria Davis (#23, forward) are taking advantage of gaining as much experience on the court as they can, and they both enjoy being able to play at a higher level. They agree that at times the team chemistry can be confusing, but when they are on the court, the team is as “tight as ever.”
Individually as players, Mills works hard to sink all of her free-throws during games, while Davis works to get herself open on the court to get her chance at shooting. The girls are looking especially forward to playing against the Valley Vikings this season.
