In my opinion I say the World Cup was the best thing that happened last year. The World Cup is the biggest sporting competition in the world. The World Cup is a tournament that countries try to compete to win for their country. This competition only happens every four years, so the anticipation grows in-between competitions as countries get ready to qualify for the event. The team from Argentina took the championship this time around. It was a very emotional final match with France, and any team could have taken the title in a very close match! This is one of the few times that I have ever witnesses both men and women crying in the stadium, which just shows how passionate both fans and players are about this amazing competition.
The next World Cup is happening in Mexico, United States and Canada in 2026. The excitement is already beginning as soccer venues are already gearing up for the events. The World Cup competition is so unpredictable. There were so many big countries that have lost to some small countries this year. I am sure that in 2026, Mexico will have the biggest representation, and as a Mexican I would like to see them go far in this tournament.
