Best of 2022: Netflix Series- Wednesday
January 12, 2023
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Wednesday. Jenna Ortega portrayed her character perfectly. I enjoyed the storyline and how it never got boring. Every time we think we found who it was, we find more reasons that raise suspicion about someone else in the story; but still aren’t incriminating enough to be sure.
There are a lot of investigations and although Wednesday seems to be coldhearted, you realize throughout the story that in everything she does, there’s always justification for it. She also has a vulnerable side that she doesn’t show much. She’s very clever. She may seem like a outcast to some, but to the people who really know her she’s a great person.
Viewers also get to see one of Wednesday’s closest friend finally accomplish her biggest goal. The journey of emotions is really cool because she stays laid back and nonchalant through it all.
Some people try to break her down but in the end they become friends and fight off the biggest problem of them all. There are other characters that are portrayed in a certain way in the beginning that you wouldn’t think they would harm a fly, but further along you realize that it’s all a façade, there are also characters that seem bad in the beginning or are seen as monsters when really it’s something they can’t control much.
