There is a new band formed by students at Chaparral High School, The Necromancers. This is an Indie-style band coming up with original work with inspirations such as: Mac DeMarco, The Strokes, late night drive home, Mind’s Eye, and Los Retros. With some other genres and bands/artists such as: Kurt Cobain, Loving, and Jagger Finn.
The members of the band are sophomores this year: lead guitarist and lead vocalist Eric Magallan, guitarist and backing vocals Rosario Bravo, guitarist and backing vocals Phoenix Nishikawa,

All of the band members have a very common music taste. They got their inspiration mostly from Mac DeMarco and latenightdrivehome. The band inherits the Latenightdrivehome instrumentals with the Mac DeMarco lyrical vibes.
The band formally in November of this year. It originally went into plans in the summer of 2022 by Band founders Eric and Phoenix. They originally wanted to duo for a performance at the school talent show, but plans and ideas expanded into starting a band and creating music. In August of 2022 they picked up their bassist Justin. In October they would go on to recruit Rosario for the third and final guitarist. Justin would go on to sketch the logo for the band and let Phoenix and Rosario Finalize it digitally.
The band name was an idea made up by Eric Magallan, ‘The Necromancers’ meaning is as the name states, A Necromancer. “The backstory to it is that a Necromancer who’s had a passion for music but never able to create good sound.”
He added, “So as it grew older, it began searching for a group to put different talents for each person. It then went on to putting a spell on a small group of kids and possessing them to start creating music. Kids who had no thought of creating music before. Each kid are of different styles and backgrounds. They are all very different from each other but similar in a music sense. The Necromancer Essentially made smaller versions of who the Necromancer wanted to be. The music soothes the Necromancer and calms it. The more music that it hears, the better the kids get. These kids bring the band members. The Necromancer being the fans and supporters.
