Why We Should Vote

Jason Marshall-Lang, Government Instructor

If you think your vote doesn’t count, then why vote; I will give you some reasons. There are people who see problems and find ways to resolve them. Frequently, problems reside with the people who have been elected to public office. The system provides a mechanism to remove those people and elect better people for public service. Close elections are where each vote matters just that much more. One vote could mean the difference.
On Tuesday of this week, voters went to the polls to have their voices heard. Who won? We don’t know yet, but the impact of who won the leadership races will impact Nevada for years to come.
